Michael Polo began his music career by winning the 2002 Berklee School of Music 5-Week Summer Blowout Singer/Songwriter Contest. From there he attended the Settlement School of Music in Philadelphia to study with Roberto Pace. He then attended Rowan University to begin his B.M. in Composition where he studied with Dr. Harold Oliver and Denis DiBlasio. Michael Polo completed his M.M. in Composition at George Mason University where he studied with Dr. Jesse Guessford and Mark Camphouse. Michael Polo is currently working on his PhD at the University of Florida. His teachers include Dr. James Paul Sain, Dr. Paul Richards and Dr. Paul Koonce.
Given the nature of world today, Generation X has access to technology that no other generation has seen before. Printing and publishing are two major areas of interest to a composer. A goal of Publishing Polo is to investigate, explore and find a new way to help and change the world of printing and publishing music.
